Novice Series: Deep Dive into Essential Zouk Fundamentals
This 6-week Novice Series is designed to bridge the gap between beginner and intermediate by exploring the more complex fundamental movements that form the backbone of social dancing.
In this course, you’ll develop technique, confidence, and flow through detailed work on:
Soltinho – Get comfortable with this dynamic, twisty entry/exit movement that adds versatility to your dance vocabulary.
Iô-Iô – Learn to initiate and follow the circular energy of this signature pattern with clarity and control.
Boomerang with Patinha – Combine directional changes and body action with smooth transitions, musicality, and styling.
We’ll focus on connection, direction changes, body movement, and partner communication, so you can execute these patterns with intention—whether you're leading or following.
🎯 Ideal for dancers who have completed our Zouk from Zero Series or have equivalent experience in Brazilian Zouk basics.
Intermediate Series: Creative Variations on Core Zouk Fundamentals
This 6-week Intermediate Series is all about taking your fundamental movements to the next level. We’ll revisit core Zouk patterns—Soltinho, Iô-Iô, and Boomerang with Pachina—but through the lens of creativity, musicality, and complexity.
Expect a balance of technical refinement and creative exploration, with a strong focus on lead/follow communication, responsiveness, and musical interpretation.
